Story Sent in by Tommy:
On my way to dinner, Shelley texted me to say she'd be 15 minutes late. It was fine with me. But when I arrived in the waiting area there she was.
"Did you get my text?" she asked.
"I did. I'm glad you made it on time."
"Because I can still be 15 minutes late if you want."
"Uh... what? You're here now and that's fine."
She said, "You know what? I'm just going with my original plan. See you in 15!" She patted my shoulder as she breezed by and left me in the vestibule.
I followed her out and asked, "Where are you going? You're here so can we just have dinner?"
She said, "I said I'd be 15 minutes late and so I kind of want to be, now. I'll see you in 15! See you in 15! See you in 15!" She hurried away and repeated that last sentence a few times.
Around 15 minutes later she showed up and said, "Tommy! Great to meet you," as if it was our first time meeting.
Dinner afterward went okay but I didn't ask her out again.

ReplyDeleteI know it's a little early to call it but, Smiles for the WIN!
DeleteMaybe she had to take a deuce?
ReplyDeleteThat was my first thought...
Delete...but I have it on good authority that girls don't poop... so, I'm at a loss...
DeleteSteve, I think we are going to need some third party verification on this one....OK Bananas, you're up.
DeleteCan confirm. Women stopped pooping about 100,000 years ago. Now they release waste in the form of passive aggressive behavior and the inability to choose where to go for dinner. Of course, some women have evolved beyond this, too.
DeleteAre you telling me I married a bloke?!?!
DeleteOr she's just sitting there for ages to update Facebook?
Brianna, shhhh! We promised at the last gathering to never tell!!
DeleteOh my bad. I forgot about the first rule.
